Pakistan raspberry

Many new fruits and vegetables to try out here.  We came across this one which I still can't figure out what it is.  Let me know if you know.  It tastes like a cross between a tomato and kiwi.  They call it a raspberry.

I'm not sure you call them "officially" but I used to eat them all the time in Papua New Guinea...I pounded plenty of those down and I guess they aren't exactly native to just one country...;)

Looks like a gooseberry

Hey Mary and Joe!
Think about you all the time. great to see the blog. I don't know the name. I think gooseberry might be right, but the hmongs sell these at the farmers market up here. With a tight bugdet I never wanted to "waste" money trying them out - don't know what to do with them and all the peeling looks like a lot of work, but you have inspired me - farmers market starts up again in a few months and I will try them this year and think about you. :)
